Discuss Israel Adesanya’s unanimous decision win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 271

Israel Adesanya retained his middleweight belt by defeating former champion Robert Whittaker via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) at UFC 271 on Saturday in Houston. The victory was Adesanya’s (22-1) fourth title defense and his 11-fight UFC win streak at middleweight is the second-longest in division history behind Anderson Silva’s 13 in a row. In the co-main event, Tai Tuivasa knocked out Derrick Lewis — the UFC’s all-time KO King — in the second round. Discuss it all with fellow subscribers.

Rob looked very outclassed. Izzy had all the answers and I cannot see another fight going any other way.

I had Rob winning rounds 2,4,5. It wasn't a robbery tho, close fight.

But if I were to think about it deeply, if Jon Jones won the LHW vs Dom Reyes by having just takedowns and no significant, hard shots landed on Dom, should that precedent apply to Rob?

Rob not only took Izzy down, he had good stinging shots too from his left hand jab and left hook.

Izzy didn't really do damage apart from the first round knockdown and a few solid leg kicks.

But hey, just my opinion, excited to know what you guys think!

Izzy holding the title for Chimaev. Lol. Maybe Strickland makes Izzy work. I don’t see Cannonier being competitive
