All throughout the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, we'll have a daily preview here of the top events and how to watch.

With the time difference, each day's live competition in China begins in prime time Eastern and runs overnight into mid-morning the following day. This installment covers events happening Wednesday in Beijing (Tuesday night through Wednesday morning in the U.S.).

All dates and times below are converted to Eastern time, 13 hours behind Beijing time. NBC's main-channel curated prime-time show begins at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday night and will feature live alpine skiing with the first runs of the men's slalom, as well as tape-delayed coverage of the final runs of the two-man bobsled, the women's short program in figure skating and the men's team pursuit in speedskating. All events can be streamed on Peacock or at NBCOlympics.com.

Top U.S. events

Men's hockey

What: U.S. vs. Slovakia, quarterfinals

When: Tuesday, 11:10 p.m.

TV: USA and streaming

The top seed after round-robin play, the Americans will face Slovakia in the quarterfinals. Slovakia blanked Germany, 4-0, in the qualification playoffs to get here.

Women's curling

What: U.S. vs. Canada; U.S. vs. Japan

When: Tuesday, 8:05 p.m. (U.S.-Canada); Wednesday, 7:05 a.m. (U.S.-Japan)

TV: CNBC (U.S.-Canada, live; U.S.-Japan, delayed, 5 p.m.) and streaming

These are the final two round-robin games for the U.S. At 4-3, the Americans would reach the medal round with two wins, would be eliminated with two losses, and a 1-1 finish would leave it up to other results.

Freestyle skiing

What: Men's slopestyle finals, men's aerials finals

When: Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. (slopestyle); Wednesday, 6 a.m. (aerials)

TV: USA (slopestyle, live; aerials, delayed, Wednesday, noon) and streaming

Three Americans — Nick Goepper, Alex Hall and big air silver medalist Colby Stevenson — qualified for the slopestyle final. Justin Schoenefeld will represent the U.S. in the aerials final.
